Love Letter to a Loved One

Nowadays, technology has taken over what was once a beautiful practice in the past—writing love letters—to a loved one, the Christian way.

I write a sample love letter to Zeny*, my Loved One, to bring back the power of expressing oneself through the written word.

This letter, definitely, comes sincerely as I write, listening to my emotions.

love letter

Dear Audrey,

Let me start with a short poem that I hope you’ll love to read.

‘Tis the time to reveal what is in my heart,

My search is over, I’ve found my one true love,

I have come to rest, the dusk is at hand,

The woman of my dreams, finally I’ve found.

In facing life’s challenges, together we’ll succeed,

Amidst the pangs of pain, our hope in God prevailed,

Victorious and happy, our faith revealed,

At last we’ve received what we have prayed.

Yes, I realized that you’re the one I’m looking for. I will search no more.

Together, with God by our side, we will travel life’s roads confidently, steadfast in our faith—the bond that’s so strong no one could put asunder.

We claim the promise that

All things work together for good for those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.

Romans 8:28

This world is not perfect, but together we can surmount life’s challenges ahead of us, to glorify God in our lives. This is our life’s purpose.

I promise I will love you, to the best I could muster, and take away the tears in your eyes. And I am so glad myself that I have found a good reason to go on with this life, which we know is like a vapor that appears briefly, then disappears completely.

But our love will last forever and withstand the test of time. We are not citizens of this world as we connect ourselves to the Living Water—of eternal life with Jesus.

We shall then offer our talents, time, and resources, so that we will fulfill God’s purpose in our lives.

Let us share and inspire others; what made us strong despite the odds, which are not possible without the firm foundation we have in common—our most Powerful and Ever-loving Father who loves us unconditionally, as long as we believe and accept his begotten Son who offered His very life to save us.

As we are still here in this world, we are subject to pain and suffering, sickness and strife, and many other imperfections we’ll surely face. We know we can surmount this if we keep to His Word as our guide in our life together.

Let us support each other and cultivate our spiritual life, as everything else will fade away. True love transcends beyond a physical plane. It transforms us and makes life more beautiful than ever.

Be patient, be strong, my love. I believe our lives have crossed for a greater purpose. And we know, deep in our hearts, that life is more exciting and promising when we are One and complete.

Much love,

John
