Introduction

How to Pray to our Sovereign Adonai God? How do we grow deeper in the Lord Almighty?

We entreat to pray because we thirst to praise and worship the Lord with all our heart and soul. Notwithstanding the subjection to sufferings of all the test of faith and trials in life– we choose to pray and give thanks to the Lord Almighty for all the marvelous things that He has bestowed upon us and our family. We pray because we become cognizant that we have a Sovereign God who looks after us and assurance of his love.

The Holy Book is the excellent place to particularly go to for learnings on how to conform to the LORD and how to pray, knowing the love of the Lord for you and the promised of salvation. Praying and reading the Holy Book both will encourage you and strengthen you in your daily journey with the LORD.

5 Steps on How to Pray

1st. Glorify the LORD

Job 1: 20-21

Then Job got up and tore his clothes in grief. He shaved his head and threw himself face downward on the ground. He said, “I was born with nothing, and I will die with nothing. The LORD gave, and now he has taken away. May his name be praised!”

Despite being the richest man Jobs children and massive wealth on earth were all impurely taken away, yet Job didn’t condemn the Lord nor denounce his faith. On the contrary, he prefers to humbly bow down to the LORD in engrossed sorrow and pain– remaining faithful and steadfast in his belief and faith in the midst of trials giving ceaseless praise and worship to the LORD. Henceforth, the LORD made Job prosperous again and gave him twice as much as before– family and wealth.

The Lord’s Prayer “Our Father in? Heaven” points to us how to pray. The 1st 2 sentences are all about praising God our Father. Begin praying by glorifying and worshipping God in your own words, giving all honor to the LORD and acknowledging His glory and his Holy Name. Singing for great joy and gladness in your heart to God our very own source of strength. Concentrate on the LORD alone,

Expressing your constant love and trust to the LORD. Celebrate extraordinary instances like you or someone in the family getting healed or promotions. Take it by heart on how amazing God’s love, healing and grace is. Praising God is showing that we are not in control and His will be done.

2nd. Give Thanks

Colossians 3:17

Everything you do or say should be done to obey the LORD Jesus, as you give thanks to God the Father through Jesus.

Thank God for waking you up each day, favorable health, for the salutatory material blessings, for all the people in your life and most of all for His Salvation.

We resounds to the LORD with humble gratitude and gladness of hearts and joy. Humbling yourself before the LORD and having security in your faith in a Mighty God. Keep up communing with the LORD the Living Christ as it puts us near the Lord God the Father. Even in the midst of test of patience and trials– grateful hearts can help us precaution us against negative vibes of bitterness, anger, negative outlooks and against the enemy of God.

Having a grateful heart is like playing tennis and badminton– the more that you exercise the more you’ll embrace your life and be happy in the LORD. Learn to count your blessings–have a daily small diary or a notebook and list down all the good things God gave you and your family on that day no matter how small or big it is.

3rd. Ask for pardon

Mark 11:25

And when you stand and pray, forgive anything you may have against anyone, so that your Father in heaven will forgive the wrongs you have done.

The temple is replaced by believers which is with the Holy Spirit, the ancient times of sacrifices are replaced by Lord Jesus’ blood on the cross for your salvation, and the rigid sacrifices are replaced by the willingness in our hearts to forgive others because we are all human beings, and we all fall short on temporal earth so that God will also forgive us.

In asking God for a pardon or forgiveness., we respond to him with sorrow and repentance. Take a moment to reflect and seek the LORD, totally surrendering to Him. Apologize to the LORD not only to people, cry out to him and turn to him. Reach out to our Sovereign LORD. Awareness of God’s word, no matter how you feel plays a vital purpose on your life.

God says in 1 John 9 that if we repent and confess our sins, God is faithful to forgive. Dutifully claim that splendid promise from God. If anyone can have God’s love– likewise, you surely can have it. If anyone can be happy and get over their brokenness– oh yes, you can have it too with the LORD. Cherish the abounding mercy God has bestowed on you and your family. No matter how much pain and trials life may throw you– God always remains superb merciful and loving.

4th. Supplication and Request

Psalms 37: 4

Delight yourself in the LORD, and He will give thee the desires of thine heart.

God in Psalms 37:4 is remarkably commanding our hearts to be wholly regulated with peace, endurance and satiate fulfillment in Him alone– and He will give us the pining of our hearts in accordance with God’s will.

Take a moment and relatively communicate something that arise candidly from your heart. Marvel at His Supreme grace and trust Him to do what He says. Pray for a great prowess, courage and for God to strengthen you if you feel unsure and weak and overwhelmed with trials.

Rely and trust that the Lord who cared for Abraham to David will also take care of you and your family. Cherish, enjoy the LORD in the midst of waiting and think of the day ahead of good health, a strength of mind and spirit, and sweetest victory in the Supreme Being– the LORD.

5th. Ending your prayer in the name of Jesus.

Jesus said in John 14: 13

And I will do whatever you ask for in my name, so that the Father’s glory will be shown through the Son. If you ask me for anything in my name, I will do it.

Lord Jesus is the only way to the Father God– the bible clearly says there is no other way. When we end our prayers with “In Jesus name. Amen”, we are fully acknowledging that Christ is the source of our salvation and answers our prayers. we are affirming our faith in our Lord Jesus as “the way the truth and the life”. Open your bible and read daily so you will discover for yourself the TRUTH and the Word.

How you “end your prayer” is as highly significant as how you “begin your prayers”. Ending your prayer in the name of Jesus and Amen is affirming our gigantic faith to a gigantic LORD in heaven above. It is a form of declaring our trust in a Sovereign LORD Jesus our LORD and Savior.

There is great power in the Name of Jesus our Lord and Savior.

Life Among the Believers

It says in Acts 2: 12-14

12 Then the apostles went back to Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives, which is about half a mile away from the city.

13 They entered the city and went up to the room where they were staying: Peter, John, James and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James son of Alphaeus, Simon the Patriot and Judas son of James.

14. They gathered frequently to pray as a group, together with the women and with Mary the mother of Jesus and with his brothers.

Life among the believers is empowered by frequent praying in your homes when you wake up, at bedtime and saying grace every meal, gathering together in prayer meetings and bible study with co-members at the church and church pastors– giving thanks to the LORD Almighty.
